Dr. Faisal Ameer
Dr. Ameer grew up in the valley of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir and studied at the prestigious Tyndale Biscoe School and finished high school with distinction. During his student years he showed extreme interest in art and painting. He was particulary interested in drawing nature and human form and portraits. He won many awards at state and national level.
He did his pre university from Army School, Srinagar before qualifying the All India Pre Medical Entrance amongst other entrance examinations.
He joined medical school at the LLRM Medical College, Meerut, where he received gold medals, distinctions and honors in various undergraduate subjects. He was awarded the trophy for the best all round student of the year 2000 which is the most prestigious award of the institute.
After graduating he joined General Surgery residency at his parent med school and completed his Master of Surgery training in 2006.
It was his special interest in art and ideas of perfectionism that during his early graduation years he decided to choose plastic surgery as a profession.
He joined Plastic Surgery residency at King George Medical University, which is one of the oldest and finest plastic surgery units in the country. He was awarded the gold medal for his performance at the MCh examination. Dr. Ameer completed a hand and microvascular fellowship at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore and visited Dr. Manoj Khanna for a cosmetic surgery fellowship. He joined the Muzaffarnagar Medical College as Assistant Professor, Plastic Surgery in 2009. He was awarded the Ethicon travelling fellowship for plastic surgery by the association of plastic surgeons of India for the year 2010.
He was awarded the International Scholar Fellowship Program of the Plastic Surgery Foundation sponsored by American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and World Craniofacial Foundation for the year 2015.
He worked as Assistant Professor Plastic Surgery at Muzaffarnagar Medical College from 2009 to 2010 and after that as Associate Professor Plastic Surgery at LLRM Medical College, Meerut till 2015.
He worked at Elite Style Polyclinic, Dubai and Belhoul European Hospital, Dubai from 2016 to 2019. He joined as Specialist Consultant Plastic Surgery, at Thumbay Hospital Ajman and Gulf Medical university, UAE, where he continues to work.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and photography (especially when combined).
He has been awarded with the Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons, in 2020.
